EDU COMP DIGITAL SYSTEM

First things first. Educomp smartclass is a flagship brand of Educomp Solutions, India’s largest Education company.

Born in 2003 and just 10 years young, Educomp smartclass has created shall we say, yet another divide of Have and Have Nots: schools that have Educomp smartclass and schools that don’t. Fortunately, with some 14,500 schools already embracing the system, and the number growing at rapid pace everyday, this divide is getting narrower by the day.

smartclass did what no one had ever thought of before, bring technology into the classroom. It brought an exhaustive repository of world class digital modules or lessons, (consisting of 2D and 3D animations, graphics, audio and video) on every subject in the K12 spectrum, which the teacher could easily access and project in the classroom that illuminated and explained abstract and difficult concepts with liquid clarity. The result was amazing. Knowledge flourished freed from the centuries old bonds of books and chalk and blackboard. A new light of understanding dawned on young awakened minds. And the classroom became a fascinating place to be in as a new generation of learners saw (instead of just being told and explained) for the first time how things happened. And the teacher smiled as she now saw not just one, two or three but a sea of hands go up every time she asked a question

Even as it popularity grew with school after school adopting it, as pioneers we realised that we needed to keep pushing the frontiers of technology, make it adapt to changing times, make it more user friendly, more versatile and more resourceful. Over the years, such upgrades and improvements kept happening on a continuous basis.

But the time was fast approaching for metamorphic and transformational change. For nearly 2 years starting end 2009, the think tank at smartclass has been at work devoting millions of man days to execute the most comprehensive re-engineering of its kind to make smartclass a truly 21st century teaching-learning. And the result is amazing new avatar of Educomp smartclass-re-christened befittingly as smartclass CTS(Class Transformation System)

Now, imagine a Science teacher explaining how a DNA replicates, a History teacher teaching a class about the Harappan Civilisation, or a Geography teacher teaching how Block mountains are formed. The best of teachers take pains to explain the concepts largely depending on their own abilities. The students listen to the teachers, try to decipher the figures drawn on the blackboard and read from their text books, take notes and try hard to visualize how it happens and remember. At the end of the class, the teacher asks a few random questions to assess how the class fared. Invariably a few hands (mostly of the same set of brightest students in class), go up, the answers are given and the class ends.

COMPUTER LAB

A well-equipped and technologically updated computer laboratory is made available to our students to sharpen their skills in information technology. Students of Std.VI to XII use the laboratory. The knowledge and skills imparted by expert teachers helps the students in all their future academic and professional endeavors. Well, first: the use of technology in the classroom can enhance learning. There’s a whole world of tools online that allow teachers to provide more skill-building knowledge than ever before.
Second, learning how to use a computer can provide even the youngest students with early knowledge of necessary job skills, from typing and basic research, to learning graphic design and HTML coding. In turn, these skills prepare students for better job opportunities, which is so important for areas hit by natural disasters, whose economies will continue to need help over the coming years.
And third, computer skills allow a child to become exposed to new ways of thinking, using both their creative and logical thought processes. Math, science, art, and other subjects can be incorporated into lesson plans in fun and interesting ways for children of all ages and learning capabilities.

BIOLOGY LAB

Biology/ Life Science core content is focused on the use of life science principles as powerful conceptual tools to make sense of the complexity, diversity and interconnections of life on earth. Students engage in laboratory and authentic learning experiences that encourage the application of biological knowledge to make decisions and solve problems. Mission of Science Education: Scientifically literate students possess the knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and processes required for personal decision-making, participation in civic and cultural affairs, and economic productivity. Vision of Science Education: A quality science education fosters a population Experiences the richness and excitement of knowing about the natural world and understanding how it functions. • Uses appropriate scientific processes and principles in making personal decisions. • Engages intelligently in public discourse and debate about matters of scientific and technological concern. • Applies scientific knowledge and skills to increase economic productivity.

CHEMISTRY LAB

We also have a well equipped chemistry lab facilities to conduct experiments with safety measures. Salt analysis,Volumetric analysis experiments are conducted and performed by the students.

            According to the X,XI,XII syllabus we have all the apparatus available in our Laboratory.

            In this age of knowledge “being scientific” involves being curious, Observing and experimenting is very essential.

            It is the place of transformation of

  • Ambiguity to clarity

PHYSICS LAB

It is a spacious and can accommodate 20 students at a time. There are 4 working table for students. Lab is provided with electrical plug points supported with generator.

In physics class, lab is central. Integral. Sacred. More than a mere place in the back of the classroom, the laboratory is the place where physics students do physics. It is in the laboratory that physics students learn to practice the activities of scientists – asking questions, performing procedures, collecting data, analyzing data, answering questions, and thinking of new questions to explore. The Laboratory attempts to change all this by presenting students with a Purpose, and primarily a Purpose .

LIBRARY

Our school library has nearly 3500 books & 25 magazines. Reading makes a man perfect. Books are our best friends. We gain knowledge and wisdom. Weekly once students got a library period which develops reading habits of the children. Strict silence and perfect order must be observed in the library. All library books should be returned two weeks before each examination.

Apart from regular services, this library extend the following services not only to quench the thirst of the budding reader  but also to develop the various hidden talents of the voracious readers

Story Telling

A mike is provided during prayer to enable the students to tell the story they have read and thus the stage fear is overcome and training in public speaking in given, right from the L.K.G to 11

Toffee Quiz

To encourage the student in general knowledge a question is written in the notice board. The student who answer will get the toffee and the name of the student will be displayed to encourage other students to participate and thus the students are tempted to read and increase their general knowledge.

Dictionary Practice

To train the students to find meaning from the dictionary, worksheets and dictionaries are available in the library to ease them to acquire the art of finding the meaning of a word from the dictionary.

Newspaper Reading

To inculcate the newspaper reading habit among the students right from fifth standard onwards individual newspaper are given to check motivate and appreciate the students. Quizzes are conducted on the spot and prizes are given to the students. The times of India supplement is given to the students. Students are asked to read and thereby encourage them to read regularly.

All these types of services rendered will nourish the minds of the young ones to utilize their leisure time in a useful way.

Of course, of all the human relaxations, the cheapest and safest is reading.

PLAYGROUND

Our school has a vast play-ground with accurate measurly separate court for Volley ball, Kabbadi, Kho-kho and Indoor games. Every student will be given an opportunity to expose their talents. Special coaching has been given under the supervision of their respective captains after the school hours from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.

The management had gifted to our kinder garden children a new ultra modern play field will all play items. As it is fully enclosed the students are safe and secured.

BUS FACILITY

In the past decade, school transportation has gained a lot in importance. This is primarily due to a faster lifestyle and increased safety threats.
A large number of parents are now part of the 9-6 work culture. This prevents them from ensuring their children’s safe transportation to and from schools. Even in the case of parents who take their children to school in their private vehicles, the accident rate has been high. The prime reason for this is that school transportation happens during peak traffic hours. Our school offers personalized door-to-door pick up and drop off services for our school students till 12th standard..
